52 Weeks of me.

I am trying to set better goals for myself this year on getting better acquainted with my camera.  I am going to try and take a picture of myself once a week.  Each week is a different theme.  This picture below was something I took because I wanted an updated picture to place on Facebook.  It is a self portrait.  It was a day I felt was "a good hair day" and gave it a go.  I think it turned out well.

I am behind a week, therefore, there are two pictures in this post.  Week two is reflection.  I had many ideas for this one, but decided to snap a picture of the obvious.  Reflections could be interpreted so many different ways. As you can tell by my expression, I was getting a little annoyed by my inability to get the right shot.  This picture was not what I had in my minds eye for this shot, but here it is.  It also shows my decision to go away from contacts and start wearing my glasses full time.  I will be getting a new, updated pair soon!

I'm excited that you are joining in. :) that first shot is really great. I love the sunlight peeking in. :) oh and the second shot...yes...it can be frustrating to get it all lined up and in focus. I like you attempt.

did you link up on the lucas zoo blog? I hope so.

Thanks Corey. I am reminded that there is still so much to learn about taking pictures with DSLR! I am excited to see what kind of pictures we all come up with.

So glad you are joining. I have that same mirror thing at my house :) The first shot is great and you have nice catchlights. I like your look in the second one. Looking forward to seeing your new glasses and shots this year!

Welcome to 52 weeks of me. I love the perspective you got in your reflective shot. I find it hard to take a self portrait without the camera showing up. :)

Both shots are great, but I really love the mirror one. I like how it frames your face. I am so glad you decided to join in.
