Focus on the Eyes
My new eyes. I have been wearing contacts now for....well a long time. Sigh. As I grow younger, my vision grows older, funny how that works, making contacts more difficult to get just right. I know, I am supposed to have a picture of me here. It kind of is. I'm not used to being in front of the camera. I am used to being behind one instead.
I think about what it would be like without corrective lenses. I don't have to imagine too much, just take off my glasses. It would be a sad world for me not to be able to see my family, drive and see what beautiful country we have around us. I am thankful for the technology to make corrective lenses. Or life would really be only a blur! As far as the book, well, it is a childhood favorite series.
The eyes are the mirror of the soul. Yiddish proverb.
